MINSK, May 20 (BelTA) – Over 40 companies are partaking in the 1st International Specialized Exhibition Real Estate and Investments 2009, Viktor Shanyukevich, chairman of the permanent commission for construction, housing, land tenure and ecology of the Minsk Council of Deputies, said at an opening ceremony of the exhibition in Minsk on May 20. The exhibition has showed a good start, Viktor Shanyukevich considers. The number of the participants would considerably increase in the ensuing years. “It is symbolic that during the global financial crisis it is Belarus which is demonstrating a good example of sound investments in construction and real estate,” he said. The deputy stressed that this year Minsk is facing big tasks on housing construction; great attention will be paid to the construction of the commercial property. According to chairman of the Minsk Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers Vladimir Karyagin, the programme of the exhibition will include a conference on commercial real estate. The forum will also feature non-commercial projects, such as a project of the Marc Chagall International Centre in Vitebsk. The International Specialized Exhibition Real Estate and Investment 2009 is taking place in the BelExpo Exhibition Centre on May 20-23.
