MINSK, May 27 (BelTA) – The prerequisites are in place for the economic growth in Belarus, Vice-Premier of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov told reporters on May 27. Owing to the efforts of the government, we can see the signs of stability and prerequisites for the economic growth, Andrei Kobyakov said. According to him, in January-April Belarus’ GDP increased by 1.2%. “This is a turning point. We have passed it and should add up now,” he said. The country has been implementing a package of anti-crisis measures and pursuing a vibrant foreign economic policy. Belarus has been realizing an anti-crisis plan jointly with Russia too. “Not all the points are implemented in the way we have agreed upon,” Andrei Kobyakov said. The implementation of the document will be revised by the forthcoming session of the Union State Council of Ministers. The Vice-Premier also informed that during this time of the global financial crisis, Belarus has toughened requirements to personnel, chief executives of companies. All this should help intensify economic growth in the country. БЕЛТА
