MINSK, 3 August (BelTA) – Belarus has fulfilled all the agreements reached with the Russian Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) on the certification of the Belarusian dairy products for the export to Russia, Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister of Belarus Mikhail Saveliyev told BelTA. “We have fulfilled all the agreements made with the Russian agency. The Belarusian companies have received permits for the products they want to export to Russia,” Mikhail Saveliyev said. A total of 624 sanitary-epidemiological certificates including 172 for new descriptions of dairy products have been issued. The list of Belarusian dairy products that received sanitary-epidemiological certificates in line with the Russian new technological regulations is placed on the website of the Agriculture and Food Ministry of Belarus. As Belarusian dairies launch the manufacture of new products which they intend to export to Russia, they will apply for the certificates of Rospotrebnadzsor in a routine mode. “If our companies discontinue the production and delivery of a product to the Russian market, we will promptly remove the data about this product from our website. It will be updated on a regular basis,” Mikhail Savelyev said. A reminder, in early June this year Russia banned Belarusian dairy imports. Rospotrebnadzor required that Belarusian producers and suppliers get their licenses re-registered in accordance with new milk and dairy products regulations. More than 1,200 items were banned. As a result of the talks, on 17 June the sides agreed that Belarusian producers and suppliers would be gradually working on bringing their documents in accordance with the Russian requirements. During this period Rospotrebnadzor will lift the restrictions on some products. Belarus resumed dairy export to Russia on 18 June. БЕЛТА
