MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – Belarusian performers, representatives of the BRSM Youth Union, win first, second and third prizes of the 4th international youth song contest in Rostov-on-Don, BelTA learnt from First Secretary of the BRSM Youth Union Yuri Krivodubsky. Veronika Chernyavskaya from Krupki was awarded the first prize, Sergei Polozov from Bobruisk won the second prize; the third prize went to Dmitry Mulyarchik from Grodno. Special prizes were bestowed upon Katrin from Minsk for the best art song, Svetlana Mosina from Grodno for the best performance; Miss Silence band from Gomel received people’s choice award. The song contest was held within the traditional festival “Youth For the Union State”. The Belarusian delegation consisted of almost 100 young people from all over the country. All in all, the forum gathered over 15,000 participants, including deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly of Belarus and Russia, representatives of youth unions, students and performers of the two countries. The programme of the forum was packed. The participants laid flowers to the Eternal Fire, took part in concerts, met with Olympic champions, artistes, young politicians of the two countries, and attended an exhibition and presentation of public youth organizations of Belarus and Russia. The festival was initiated by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State under the auspices of the Permanent Committee of the Union State, the BRSM Youth Union, the United Russia's Young Guardia, Russian Youth Union, and Russian-Belarusian Youth Union.
