MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) – In conditions of the global financial crisis Belarus’ economic development figures are exceedingly better than those of other countries. The statement was made by Klaus Mangold, Chairman of the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, as he met with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on 4 November. Klaus Mangold heads a delegation of German business circles during their visit to Belarus, BelTA has learned. Klaus Mangold underlined that it was the fourth time he had visited Belarus in 2009. “I am always deeply impressed by how well Belarus is doing in the crisis that has affected all of us”. He assured that the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations will continue doing its best for the advancement and development of Belarus-Germany relations.
