MINSK, 19 November (BelTA) – Italian companies are interested in investing in the construction of logistic centers in Belarus, President of the Italian Association of Logistics Domenico Netti said at an international seminar, Organization and Implementation of Marketing in the EU Countries, in Minsk on 19 November. According to Domenico Netti, the Customs Union formation will attract more foreign partners to Belarus. “Belarus takes a privileged position as any freight, coming from Europe via Poland to your border, enters Belarus and, without any hurdles, can reach any point of the Customs Union member-states,” he said. In this respect, according to the President of the Italian association, it is highly important to build up a well-developed logistic infrastructure. “I am confident Belarus needs logistic centers,” Domenico Netti said. He expressed confidence that Italian companies are very interested in developing such cooperation and ready to invest in it. On the whole “Belarus presents a great potential today”, Domenico Netti said. “Italian companies will surely come to your country,” he stressed. In his words, the first joint projects will start working in the near future. According to Domenico Netti, although Belarus is not rich in natural resources, it has everything necessary for its economy’s successful development, especially due to an effective implementation of high technologies and setting up science-related manufactures. “We also see a great human potential in Belarus,” he added. Italy is interested in the Belarusian products including dairy and meat goods, timber. According to the President of the Italian association, the seminar will promote cooperation between Belarusian and Italian companies. The Belarusian specialists will be able to have an on-the-job training in Italian companies. “We have agreed with the National Marketing and Price Center of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus to publish a scientific and economic magazine in the Belarusian, Russian and Italian languages,” he said. The first seminar of the international cycle, Organization and Implementation of Marketing in the EU Countries, is taking place in the National Marketing and Price Center of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus on 19-20 November.
