MINSK, 12 January (BelTA) – The forthcoming elections to local councils of deputies will use new ballot papers, Senior Specialist of the Organization and Legal Affairs Office of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Gleb Khmelev told a CEC session on 12 January. According to the source, the new ballot papers will be determined by the level of a council of deputies and the number of candidates. If there is one candidate, the size of the ballot paper may vary from one third to one half of an A4 paper list. If there are more candidates, the size of the ballot paper may vary from one half to one A4 paper list. The commission will determine specific sizes of ballot papers later. At the session the CEC has determined the election forms to be filled in. Taking into account changes in election regulations signature sheets have been renewed. In particular, the design of the front page has been changed and the certification of the signature sheet has been removed from the back page.
