MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) – Belarus will take part in development of the draft of the Pan-European Youth Declaration. On 22 January, representatives of the Council of Europe Directorate of Youth and Sport met with Education Minister of Belarus Alexander Radkov. During the meeting, they invited the Belarusian side to attend the 1st Pan-European Youth Conference and take part in development of the draft of the Pan-European Youth Declaration, BelTA has learnt. During the meeting with the Education Minister, Ralf-Rene Weingartner, Council of Europe Director of Youth and Sport, noted that the main goal of the project is to demonstrate the variety of the youth policy programmes in all over Europe. Alexander Radkov noted that the Education Ministry of Belarus will analyze all the projects and proposals of the CE representatives. Speaking about the invitation to participate in the Pan-European Youth Conference in Belgium, Alexander Radkov noted that the Belarusian side would like to exchange experience with the European countries. Belarus would like to be involved in the European programmes on education and the youth policy, the Minister noted. The official invitation will be sent by the Belgium minister who supervises the youth policy. The Education Minister of Belarus has become the first one who received the invitation. The conference will be held in H2 2010 during Belgium’s presidency in the European Union. The representatives of the Council of Europe have proposed to invite not only representatives of ministries and governmental departments but the youth and children’s public associations to participate in the conference. Belarus may also attend the conference of Council of Europe’s ministers who supervises the youth policy. The conference will be held in Russia in 2012. БЕЛТА
