MINSK, 31 March (BelTA) – The government should make progress in the logistics of the oil supplies from Venezuela within the first half of 2010. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko made such instructions during a government session to sum up results of the official visits to Venezuela and Brazil on 30 March, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service. “By the end of the year we should make it possible to transport Venezuelan oil to Belarus through pipelines,” the President stressed. Alexander Lukashenko also set forth a task to prepare the Belarusian oil refineries for refining Venezuela’s oil. The Belarusian head of state emphasized that the delivery of Venezuela’s oil to Belarus is a focal point today. According to Alexander Lukashenko, Belarus should receive 4 million tonnes of oil from Venezuela this year. The amount should rise to 10 million tonnes of oil in the future. “10 million tonnes of oil is the first level of our independence. We should do it whatever the cost,” the President warned. A reminder, Alexander Lukashenko visited Venezuela on 14-17 March. The Belarusian leader traveled to Brazil on 21-22 March. БЕЛТА
