CARACAS, 16 April (BelTA) – In April 2010 the Venezuelan side will provide Belarusian constructors with 260-hectares of land to construct a satellite town in the Barinas State. The project envisages the construction of 10,000 apartments, BelTA learnt from Alexander Mysov, chief architect of the project, head of the Belniigradostroitelstvo company. The agreement on construction of the satellite town was reached during a meeting of Belarusian Minister for Architecture and Construction Alexander Seleznev and Public Works and Housing Minister of Venezuela Diosdado Cabello in Barinas on 15 April. “The project developed by Belniigradostroitelstvo in 2009 envisages the construction of three and four-storey houses designed for 10,000 apartments. Project’s infrastructure will include a business center, two outpatient departments, two hypermarkets, a store network, a trade and entertainment center, a hotel, a childcare, a kindergarten, a school, two colleges and an university. The recreational zone will include the Republic Square, an amphitheater and parks,” Alexander Mysov noted. The construction project is composed of four phases. The first phase, geological survey, will start in May this year. The second phase includes the construction of houses. The construction site will occupy 200 hectares from 260. The estimated cost of this project is around $900 million, Alexander Mysov noted. Belniigradostroitelstvo operates in the field of architecture and engineering services including urban planning documentation development, research in public, humanitarian, natural and engineering science.
