MINSK, 18 June (BelTA) – In January-May Belarus’ energy system produced 14.5 billion kWh of electricity, up 14.2 from the same period a year earlier. The production of heat energy increased by 10.2% to 19.2 million GCal, BelTA learnt from the National Statistics Committee. In the five months January to May the production of resources amounted to Br4.560 trillion, up 12.5% from the same period of last year. An increase in the production of electricity was due to the increased consumption of electricity in the country as compared to last year.
