MINSK, 3 August (BelTA) – Belarus plans to open its cultural centers abroad. It is envisaged in an action plan of initiatives offered by the participants of the 5th Congress of the Belarusians of the World that was held in Minsk last year, BelTA learnt from the Culture Ministry of Belarus. Such centers including public libraries of the Belarusian literature can be set up in different countries. Cultural centers of Belarus will be soon opened in Russia, Lithuania and other states. The action plan provides for permanent assistance to the Belarusian associations abroad in organizing various events related to the country’s national holidays and memorable dates. Partaking in such events will be cultural figures and representatives of the government. The country will stick to a grant policy in supporting the programs on the Belarusian culture preservation and development abroad. Contests will be held among the best programs aimed at the preservation and development of the Belarusian culture abroad. There will be also organized international youth camps, sports competitions in Belarus and outside the country. Belarusian nationals living abroad will have an opportunity to take part in the development of the international tourism in Belarus. Thus, there are plans for presentation exhibitions and associated events in order to promote the country’s tourist potential. БЕЛТА
