CIS diplomats discuss realization of multilateral conventions on legal aid

The 29th session of the consultative council of heads of consular services of the CIS member states took place on 7 June in the form of a videoconference, BelTA has learned.

Delegations of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan took part in the session. A delegation from Turkmenistan was present as an observer. The Belarusian delegation was led by Andrei Kozhan, Head of the Central Consular Office of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Participants of the conference exchanged opinions concerning the fulfillment of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 24 April 1963, the realization of provisions of multilateral conventions on legal aid and legal relations in civil cases, family cases, and criminal cases. The protection of rights and interests of citizens of the CIS states was also discussed.

The minutes of the session reflect a positive opinion of the existing level of interaction between the consular services of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Belarusian, Russian metal producers, traders to convene

A forum on trade in metal products will bring together over 150 representatives of the manufacturing sector and the trade industry of Russia and Belarus in the Belarusian city of Zhlobin, the press service of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) told BelTA.

The Belarusian-Russian business forum on production and consumption of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in the Republic of Belarus will take place at premises of the Belarusian steel mill BMZ.

The forum is scheduled for 26-27 May and will bring together over 150 representatives of business circles, including leading manufacturers and suppliers of metal goods from Russia. Participants of the forum are expected to discuss the current situation on the market of metal goods of Belarus and Russia, the main trends of the year 2022, and the entire range of matters concerning acquisition and sales of metal products via exchanges. While in Belarus, the delegation of the Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers will visit OAO Gomselmash. The guests will be made familiar with the materials and technologies in use and will negotiate cooperation options.

The forum is organized by the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange and the Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers with assistance of the Belarusian steel mill BMZ and the agricultural machinery manufacturer Gomselmash.
